RELATED: FOX 17 is giving away 1,824 books to children as part of the “If You Give A Child A Book” campaign
Books in the home are one of the biggest predictors of a child’s success. More than 61% of low-income families do not have books in the home and now, more than ever, children need them.
FOX 17 employees, along with the Scripps Howard Foundation, have made it their mission to bring high-quality books to children in our community through the “If You Give A Child A Book” campaign.
Last summer, FOX 17 launched a call for donations from employees and the community. With these funds raised and a matching contribution from the Scripps Howard Foundation, we are able to donate 1,824 books to children in the community this year.
It’s not too late to donate! Every $5 you donate buys a book for a child in need. Click here to donate.
