Kansas Jayhawks Basketball Predictions: Dayton Flyers

The Kansas Jayhawks beat North Texas yesterday to advance, but the margin was much tighter than expected. Next are the Dayton Flyers, who sent Miami yesterday. A win will put Kansas in the final against the winner of Belmont and Iona. But after what happened in Alabama yesterday, are there any concerns about getting there?

Take a look at what our staff are thinking, then leave your own GIF prediction in the comments below!

Fizzle406: Kansas faced Dayton in the 2009 tournament. I think Cole had a triple-double in that game. Anyway, I became a devoted reader of a Dayton blog for about 4 months afterwards. I’m glad they won their game against Miami because I didn’t want to revise that prediction. Kansas 77, Dayton 69

Kyle_Davis21: I didn’t come back in 2009. The game that initially came to my mind was the Maui Invitational 2019 title. I’m not sure this one will be that epic. Dayton is five places below North Texas at KenPom and is playing just as slowly. Dayton is effectively shooting 56.7% out of 2 points, but is only 29.6% out of 3, which makes the 11-19 of 3 shot against Miami on Thursday feel a bit hit and miss. I love Kansas the same way I love North Texas. Kansas 78, Dayton 65

Mike: Board: Bill Self publicly lit David McCormack after the North Texas game yesterday. Let’s see if that catches his attention. If so, the Flyers are in trouble. The joke circulating on Twitter is that it’s for the 2020 national championship. Hang up this banner. Kansas 83, Dayton 62.

Andy Mitts: There isn’t much to note in this game except for one thing: turnovers. By that I mean Kansas don’t force a lot, and Dayton continues to do them. The trend that continues will determine whether Kansas wins this one by 13 or by 30. Kansas 87, Dayton 52
