YouTube Personality Gabbie Hanna Also confronts Perez with what she calls her “hypocrisy” and reveals how her cancellation is costing her professionally and personally.

“The importance of having you here is that you talk about your contribution to this world, and now how are you going to help change it?” How do you see yourself in the industry? Emily Estefan asked Perez.

“I consider myself to be an artist. I wouldn’t say I’m a journalist, even if I take what I do seriously, ”said Perez Hilton.

Emily reminded Perez that even though he does it for entertainment, human beings are hurt by his actions. “But for example, there were human beings on the other side of your stories,” she said. “And we have to call a spade a spade here. You said some pretty hurtful things.

After agreeing with Emily, he later responded if he felt powerful in bringing people down. “The word ‘power’, to me, it never resonated because it would imply that I can force people to do things, and I can force people to think a certain way,” Perez explained. “I could have influence, but I would like to see it more as an opportunity. I have had the opportunity to share, and people have the opportunity to receive.

Perez said he viewed the sharing of personal information about celebrities as “shining a light on which celebrities do things right and which ones get it wrong, which ones behave badly.”

He later confirmed he was addicted to being the center of attention. “I was a drug addict and attention was my drug. I knew what I was doing was wrong, and I kept doing it, and I kept getting rewarded for it, ”Perez admitted.

The Estefans have also confronted Perez on his way out of celebrities in the past, including gay stars like Clay Aiken, Lance Bass and Neil Patrick Harris, long before they were ready to reveal themselves to the public. “I knew what I was doing was wrong. I would think to myself all these mantras, all these talking points. You know, being that addict, “Well, I’m going to do that because of that,” Hilton said. “… I would say things like, ‘Well, I just share with my friends online what my friends are talking about in private.’ ”
